SAN FRANCISCO INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT
SAN FRANCISCO, CALIFORNIA
Consolidated Engineering Laboratories performed special inspection services for three of the four phases
of the International Terminal project. We provided special inspection for the more than 5,000 precast
piles at off-site locations, as well as rebar and concrete placement for the pile caps and terminal
foundation.
To perform all of this work, CEL stepped up to the plate providing inspection on not only the shop, steel,
concrete, fireproofing and other typical services, but we also provided inspection of drywall, baggage
handling, window wall inspection, surveying/floor flatness and supplementing the Owner's inspection
staff on occasion.
OF SPECIAL INTEREST:
CEL performed all testing and inspection and structural steel shop inspection for the build-out of the
Terminal in addition to the inspection of the integration of the BART and Aerial Rail Transport System
into the structure. This required the enforcement of transportation specifications in addition to building
specifications.
