RUNWAY 11-29 OVERLAY

During the shut down of Oakland International Runway 11-29 for a complete asphalt overlay, CEL
mobilized 25 field inspectors and materials testing technicians. Along with the field personnel were 20
laboratory technicians. Contractors and laboratory personnel worked around the clock to complete the
104,000 tons of asphalt and placement in five days. CEL performed complete laboratory testing in
accordance with FAA Specifications. CEL also had field personnel performing batch plant, placement
inspection and compaction testing.
