BANNER ISLAND BALLPARK
STOCKTON, CALIFORNIA
Consolidated Engineering Laboratories provided materials testing and special inspection services for a
new baseball stadium for the Stockton Ports. The structure included, among other attributes, 5,000
stadium seats, 4 suites and a club deck. The project was built on the north side of the Stockton ship
channel. The City of Stockton hopes to attract a total of four professional sports teams to the
neighborhood. It is planning a minor league baseball stadium on one end and an arena for soccer, football
and hockey on the other.
CEL responded to a very aggressive schedule to finish by opening day of the Stockton Ports'
first home game. Consolidated Engineering Laboratories also provided inspection and testing services for
the Stockton Events Center and Parking Structure (all part of the same project).
CEL's scope of services included concrete placement and sampling, masonry placement and
sampling, shop and field welding, and epoxy grouted dowels inspection and testing.
