Consolidated Engineering Laboratories has provided all on- and off-site materials testing and special inspection for this unique parking structure. This parking structure was constructed utilizing a hybrid moment resisting precast concrete frame, the first of its kind constructed in Northern California. Consolidated Engineering Laboratories also provided continuous field inspection for this 480,000 square foot parking structure. Our scope of services included: continuous inspection of the erection and placement of precast concrete girders and columns, including column baseplate grouting, placement of mild reinforcing steel between the precast girders and columns, post-tensioning placement and stressing operations for the girders and columns, inspection of grout placement at the interface of precast columns and girders, and grout placement in the girder grout pockets. Additionally, we provided inspection services for reinforced concrete placement, epoxy grouted dowels, masonry, and structural steel.
