This building is a new condominium project located at Broadway and West Grand in Oakland. When completed, this project will be seven stories with a total of 132-units, 20,000 square feet of retail space and underground parking. Consolidated Engineering Laboratories scope of services includes reinforced concrete, post-tensioned concrete, shotcrete, epoxy grouted dowels, structural steel and non-shrink grout testing and special inspections. A unique component of this project is the utilization of the Con-X-Tech structural steel system. The Con-X-Tech system is a structural steel support structure which utilizes partially robotic welding and light gauge panels. CEL has worked closely with Con-X-Tech to develop an inspection protocol to assume compliance with local and state agencies. CEL has maintained a near continuous presence in the Hayward Con- X-Tech fabrication facility over the past 12 months.
