Consolidated Engineering Laboratories provided all of the materials testing and special inspection
services associated with this four-story structural steel frame building. Building 21B is the Student
Services and Community Building for the UCSF Mission Bay Campus. The construction of this building
incorporated the utilization of buckling brace frame steel construction built on a driven pile and
pile cap foundation. CEL provided structural steel fabrication inspection services at PDM Strocal in
Stockton, California. Other scopes of services on this project were reinforced concrete, structural steel,
shop welding and ultrasonic testing, non-shrink grout, and waterproofing inspection and testing.
